Minutes of Special Council Meeting

December 31, 2018

The Council and Officers of the City of Windy Hills met at the Summit Executive Suites, 4350 Brownsboro Rd., Suite 110, Boardroom at 1:00 P.M.  The Courier Journal was notified and a Special Meeting notice was placed at the meeting place.  Mayor Ising called the meeting to order and stated that the sole purpose of the meeting was to vote on Ordinance #4, Series 2018/2019 to establish the position of the City’s Code Enforcement officer.  The second item on the agenda is the swearing in of all the newly elected members and mayor of the City.

ROLL CALL:  The following were present:

Ordinance 4, Series 2018/2019 – Relating to Code Enforcement Officer Position:   Councilwoman Greer made a motion to have the Ordinance read into record and was seconded by Councilwoman Davis.  The motion was approve unanimously.  Attorney Hodge read the Ordinance into record.  Councilman Skelton made a motion to approve Ordinance 4, Series 2018/2019 and was seconded by Councilwoman Rademaker.  The unanimous vote was as follows:

Helen Davis – Aye Kate Greer – Aye Lou Phillips – Aye
Marianne Rademaker – Aye Mike Skelton – Aye Suzanne Spencer – Aye

Attorney Hodge had all new and re-elected Council members as well as the new Mayor and the Code Enforcement Officers raise their right hands as he read the oath of office, all of which replied that they will abide by the oath of office.  Those members sworn in are:

Helen Davis, Mayor Bruce Blue, Councilman Kate Greer, Councilwoman
Marcia Myers, Councilwoman Marianne Rademaker, Councilwoman Suzanne Spencer, Councilwoman
Laura Trachtenberg, Councilwoman Steve Teaford, Code Enforcement Officer

Councilwoman Rademaker moved to adjourn the meeting at 1:11 P.M., seconded by Councilwoman Greer and the motion passed unanimously.
