TREE BOARD MINUTES

October 11, 2018

Present:  Scott Breeland, Kate Greer, Jim Ising, Judy Mudd, Cheri Silvey-Slusher, Jodi Smiley,

Laura Trachtenburg, Caroline Westfall

The August 23, minutes were approved.

Finances:  There is a balance of $8,000

Mayor Ising thanked the Tree Board for volunteering and hospitality.  He also reported that there was a dangerous tree on Ambridge.   A letter was sent to the homeowners.  (Note:  The problem has since been resolved.)

Kate talked to Andy about replacing the crabapple on Ambridge and replanting the dead tree given to a resident on Indian Ridge.  (Note:  Andy has replaced Ambridge tree and will talk to homeowner on Indian Ridge.)

Arborist Report:  Caroline will assess the trees on the Rudy right-of-way about danger.

New Business:

2018-19 Work Plan

$300 for Arbor Day, April 14, 2019

$3800 for trimming hazardous tree limbs or complete removal of dead trees along

Rudy Lane

$3000 to plant 10 canopy trees—area to be determined

Continue Windy Hills Horticultural Advisory Group Resident Tree Program

$900 Arborist Fee

Total Budget $8,000
